Summerhouse Crew-in-Training (CIT) is an opportunity for students to expand their understanding of responsibility, as well as their sense of self, as part of a team. This summer learning experience equips participants with management, operational, and leadership skills. A 50% deposit is required at registration.Full payment is due by the start of the first week of your child’s session(s).

Admission to the CIT program is contingent upon the staff’s determination of whether an applicant is up to the tasks and requirements. Our program typically includes a mix of students from schools in Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley, and beyond. Our Summerhouse program’s design is based on Sequoyah’s progressive philosophy and social-emotional learning curriculum.

Family Support Services (FSS) provides compassionate emotional support, education, and resources to the families and staff of the Ronald McDonald House. We are available to you seven days a week, 24 hours a day, every day of the year even after you leave the house and return home. A licensed nurse works onsite and residents are routinely checked in on and consistent health monitoring and medication tracking supports every resident’s physical condition. Housekeeping, laundry and linens are taken care of along with providing dignified assistance with personal care, dressing and other tasks. Care is available 24 hours a day and a number of specialized dementia center technologies are used to ensure dignified but consistent monitoring and prevent situations where residents accidentally leave the facility.
